Shane Mosley vs Pernell Whitaker

Mosley based on strength and speed. Whitaker's offense not good enough to keep Mosley off him and Mosley's speed too much for Whitaker's defense to negate his attacks. Hard fought decision win for Mosley.
I think you get the same result at 135 as well.

Whitaker at any weight. The Whitaker who beat McGirt and Chavez ain't losing to someone without a jab and Whitaker's typically high punch volume and outstanding body attack would have had Mosley completely befuddled. Mosley was a league below Whitaker in just about every way.Last edited by crold1; 03-08-2011, 12:00 AM.

Whitaker by decision, regardless of the weight.
Mosley does well early, but ultimately is stopped in his tracks too often by jabs. I also think that in clinches Whitaker would take away a lot of Mosley's offense with body attack.
If Mosley continually lunges right hands against a southpaw, I can also see Whitaker discouraging him with counter lefts.

No matter how fast and explosive a prime Mosley was, I can't see him connect on Whitaker enough to inflict any real damage or win enough rounds to even come close to winning.
I think Mosley would put up a good showing for himself particularly in the early rounds, but I see him getting frustrated as the fight goes on and I think the compubox numbers will be pretty lopsided in Sweet Pea's favor.
