    Counterpunches or counterpunchers?

Ooo I dunno it's hard to say but I remember when I watched Toney Vs Barkley and he landed that counter right that sent his gumshield to the other side of the ring I was going wild. I was lost in the moment though

My top 3 counterpunchers would be

        1.James Toney
        2.Marco Antonio Barrera
        3.Floyd Mayweather Jr

        honorable mention
Juan Manuel Marquez Roy Jones Bernard Hopkins.

I could be way off here but it seems like in the 80s and 70s everybody(Whitaker Leonard Ali Monzon) liked to control the fight with the jab and weren't about counter punching. While the past 2 decades guys like Roy Jones Floyd Mayweather and James Toney like to lure you in and counter

Interesting question. would you consider duran to be a counter puncher? i think there's a grey area with inside fighters, in the way they create space and roll with punches.

Both Duran and Tyson can throw exceptional counters so yes I would consider them that or they atleast can do it to a very good level.

Toney. Loved his right hand counter. He crushed Ruiz with his counters.

I consider tyson primarily more of a swarmer/slugger. doesnt mean he cant counter though. good counter puncher that havent been mention yet are sal sanchez, miguel lora, george benton.

Wilfred Benitez was hands down the best counter-puncher I've ever seen.
