Lennox Lewis. But Roy obviously wanted no part of him or his mandatory Vitali. Though I gotta say Roy's career would've looked better had he lost to either of those two and retired.
People make too much of Hopkins' win over Pavlik. Pavlik has been grossly overrated around here the past few years so the only thing impressive about it was the fact that Hopkins beat ANYONE with a slight pulse at his age.

And why shouldn't they?.. He was a 26 year old unbeaten world champ who had succeeded in what Hopkins failed to do by cracking Jermain Taylor.
Pavlik's no mug, and had Hopkins struggled or lost to him, most people would be saying that B/Hop was shot when he fought Calzaghe. I'm not his biggest fan, but i still think that too many people discredit Joe.
What makes Hopkins an ATG is his longevity. He'd have been great in any era because the man is obsessed with diet and conditioning. It's his main attribute, he could possibly be the most finely conditioned athlete of all time and amazing though it may sound, i believe that was a pretty good version of Hopkins who fought Calzaghe.. Unless, that is, someone can point out exactly what it is that B/Hop did so much better prior to meeting Caz or indeed Pavlik?..
Hopkins is incredible, and you only have to take a look at him now, he's only just on the slide, having given the very capable Jean Pascal the fight of his life, a draw that should have gone to Hopkins..
B/Hop Caz was close, and imo would have been irrespective of when they fought.
I do however, take into account that Calzaghe will never be recognised in the order of greatness enjoyed by Jones, Hopkins and Toney which has to be accepted due to a lack of top Americans on is resume, but It should also be recognized that Calzaghe's considerable skillset would give him a good chance against any 160-175 pounder in history..
As opposed to beating a bunch of Euro minor-leaguers and shot former champs?

Youre an idiot. As opposed to beating a PRIME Jeff Lacy and PRIME Mikkel Kessler, FOOL! As well as koing Byron Mitchell in 2 and undefeated Veit in 1 round.
I'll go with Nigel Benn "The Dark Destroyer". This guy was a straight up killer. If the incident with McClellan didn't happen, I think he would have eventually met Roy...
i d go with Nigel Benn because he is a rough and tough fighter that has a chance to hurt roy and get to his chin.. I dont think Roy fought a beast like Nigel benn during Roys prime years .. correct me if Im wrong.. I still think Roy beats them all but I give Benn the best shot because a fighter like Calzaghe is a fighter like Roy except Roy does EVRYTHING better.. except maybe in the chin department..
