Overrated by some, underrated by others, I'd say Vitali's a legit ATG, but not top 10 material by any stretch. The funny thing is, the only thing either Klit can do to get that status is beat the other which ain't gonna happen.
Not even close to being an ATG imo, honestly he's in the HOF but I wouldn't exactly say he's comfortably in either, his resume is piss poor.

I don't think I see what everyone else seems too on here, I don't think he's as good as most make out and Wlad is clearly the better brother.

Cooney has a punchers chance against Wlad, a fight with Vitali would be entertaining but Vit comes out on top, probably via late KO. Imo.

I agree. Neither are quite all-time greats, but Vitali, especially, is over-rated.

There is not one man on his resume I would not favour Cooney to beat, & that sets alarm bells ringing.

        Either Klitschko annihilates Cooney.

        Wlad-Cooney = Wlad-Austin

Cooney gets KTFO by the first big punch Wlad lands.

Did we strike a nerve, much?

Oooh, Ray Austin. What a badd ass Klitschko looks in this spectacular trumping of yet another world-class foe. LOL.

I am in my sixties, & I have never seen a worse HW division than this one. Even the horrific 1980's, which nowadays is sometimes called, "historically under-rated," (I don't agree in the least) had contenders with basic fundamentals today's lumbering obesity epidemics do not.

^^^Welcome to Red Herring Central, LOL.

My particular favourite among Klitschko fanatics is the, "highest KO percentage of all-time," red herring...as though any of the legitimate all-time legends wouldn't have knocked out all the scrubs Vitali has made a career out of, like it is some kind of special accomplishment against that level of competition, LOL.

            THE TRUTH

Vitali took the fight on just 10 days notice.

Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards at the time of the controversial doctor stoppage. Lewis was badly hurt, was holding on for dear life and was staggering around the ring like a drunk, he barely survived the 2nd round. Lewis was getting outboxed, outworked, outlanded and was badly hurt several times in the fight.

            punches landed

            Vitali 156

            Lewis 102

Lewis was exhausted, worn down and hurt from the accumulation of punches and was ready to get KTFO again, he collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was clearly the fresher of the two, he was a man on a mission and would've KO'd Lewis for sure if the fight had continued.

All the fans at Staples Center cheered for Vitali and booed Lewis after the fight.

            Lewis promised Vitali a rematch.

Vitali destroyed Kirk Johnson in 2 rounds and called out Lewis again in the post fight interview. The scared Lewis retired shortly after that fight.

Lewis turned down 30 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew he would get destroyed by Vitali.

Vitali dominated Lewis and scared his bitch ass into retirement.

George Foreman: "Vitali was winning the fight. Lewis got lucky. There has to be a rematch!"

Jim Lampley: "A lucky escape for Lewis who was clearly losing the fight"

Even Emanuel Steward was upset and pissed off at Lewis for blatantly ducking a Vitali rematch.

Lewis is scared to death of Vitali.

            Vitali Klitschko

            - There is no blueprint to beat him.

            - He is unbeatable.

            - He has dominated every opponent he has ever faced.

            - Has never been behind on the scorecards.

            - Has great defense and an iron chin, never been down.

            - 38 KOs in 41 wins, greatest heavyweight champ KO% of all time.

            - Only man ever to be world heavyweight champ in boxing and kickboxing.

Vitali beats any HW from any era.

It's a shame that injuries/4 year layoff robbed him of a stronger resume. If Vitali didn't get injured, he would've dominated the HW division from 2005-2008 and his resume obviously would've been much stronger today.

Vitali is almost 40 now, came back after the 4 year layoff and is still dominating the HW division. He hasn't lost a single round in his comeback.

Next Victim: Undefeated Olympic Gold Medalist Odlanier Solis
Oh wow, that really makes much more sense now that I'm reading it for the eighth time. You know, the first seven times didn't really get your point across. Now I know, you think that Vitali beat Lennox Lewis...oh wait, TKO by 6. Right.

Because everyone knows what you're going to say before you say it. This is a place where we actually want to talk boxing. If you want to just hug your fighters' nuts, there's a place for that. It's called NSB. Get your **** out of here.

No,your just a deluded troll repeating the same rubbish over and over again

On subject-id favour both klits over cooney but it wouldnt be by much, wlad should outbox him in a cautious affair and vit would likely wear him down and stop him late on

I hate to be a stickler for reality, Klit Fan, but Vitali doesn't technically have the highest KO percentage of all-time for a HW Champion. You have to actually be the Champ to earn that red herring. Only little brother owns that distinction.

How it must eat away at you to know Vitali will eventually retire having never been legitimately the linear World's Heavyweight Champion.
