Better fighter, Hagler at middleweight or Holyfield at cruiser?

This is based on who would have been tougher to beat on thier best day, thoughts?

hard to say.
Holyfield pretty clearly destroys any other Cruiserweight champ in history...I dont think you can even make an argument for any other one. but are we including guys that moved from LHW to HW when the Cruiserweight division didnt exist?

In that case someone like Charles would have a pretty fair shot to beat Holyfield, maybe Moore as well. Theres always Mike Spinks, Tunney and Moorer, since Holyfield lost to him at HW. Ill assume the CW limit is 190lbs, so Ill ignore heavyweights that naturally weighed 200lbs.

Hagler has guys like Monzon and Hopkins, maybe Jones, possibly Greb although we have no idea how he looks that could beat him...but imo there are slightly less guys at 160 and down that would have had a chance to beat Hagler, than there were between 175-200lbs that had a chance to beat Holyfield.

well hagler destroys anyone else at MW, IMO.

Holyfield was rather green at cruiser until the qawi fight, he needed that seasoning and experience to become a great fighter. for example I really think Marciano or Louis wouldve KO'd holy at cruiseweight. why? because holy had never went 15 rounds before and Louis and Marciano would push him and rush him in a way that qawi didn't.

I would go with Hagler. More seasoned and experienced. His versatility was amazing.

Holyfield was a dangerous force at CW but id have too go for Hagler,he could do it all and then some

Hagler has the experience, & the better quality of victims, in addition to the much more extensive work. You'd have to give it to him, as I see it.

There are other great Middleweights who I'd back to defeat Hagler, & no other Cruisers I think would beat Holyfield, but if you included the great Light-Heavies against the Cruiser version of Holyfield, then like Hagler at Middle, he was beatable.

He went 15 rounds with Qawi in a war (first fight), and i believe he had around 10 fights at the time. Thats pretty impressive.

I'd argue that Holyfield would be a bit too much for Moore (i think it would be similar to the first Qawi fight) and i think he makes pick em fights with Charles, Louis and Marciano. Evander at cruiser weight was a machine, and i can't see neither of them wearing him down.
