What is your favorite lightweight Duran fight?

    Dejesus 2.

Dejesus 3 was a pretty good fighter, but more of a clinic. The 2nd fight was more competitive.

My pick, too. DeJesus dropped him on the seat of his trunks (lightning strikes twice, after all!) to open, just like previously, & then was game for much of what ensued, before Duran ultimately broke him.

apart from DeJesus, I also found the Buchanan fight quite exciting. also his fights with Kobayashi and Ishamatsu werent bad either.

I re-watched the Buchanan fight a little while ago and was pretty amazed as Duran's footspeed and intensity. He was so quick at closing the distance.

As great as a fighter as Duran was, I find a lot of his fights to be ugly and tedious. There was so often way too much clinching (Lampkin, De Jesus 1) or guys on their bicycle (Leonard 2, Bizzarro).

Of his LW title defenses that went a few rounds, I thought De Jesus 2 and 3 were by far the most entertaining of the ones I've watched.

Viruet also preferred to get on his bike against Duran. frustrating to watch, Duran was still efficient about it and would win nearly every round, but he wasnt exactly a destroyer in those matches.

Has anyone seen his fight against Saoul Mamby, by any chance?
