I really want to say Bowe, but there's no way I can go with anybody but Tyson.

-Prime Lennox was the 27 year old who blasted Razor Ruddock in 2 rounds.

-Peak Lennox was the focused 36 year old who avenged his defeat against Rahman in stunning fashion.

I dont think Tyson would beat any version of Lennox because LL always hated Mike's guts, and would never enter the ring flat, or unmotivated against a guy like that. Lennox is too big, too skilled, and too powerful for little Mike.

Thats probably a good way of putting it. I definately think a 36 year old Lewis beats a 27 year old Lewis which is why i class that as his prime

1993 Lennox was way faster and more explosive. I wish Bowe wouldve given him a title shot instead of forfeiting the belt.

In my mind he truly was an underachiever: he had all the physical gifts but lacked the will.

I like this Cus D'Amato quote:

"When two men are fighting, what you're watching is more a contest of wills than of skills, with the stronger will usually overcoming the skill. The skill will prevail only when it is so superior to the other man's skill that the will is not tested."

I don't know if Tyson would have ever beat Holyfield if he didn't take him out or hurt him in the early rounds. Bowe would also have been tough for him but Bowe had some head issues as well.

I think that a prime Tyson would have destroyed a prime Lewis. He was simply too fast for him and Lewis's chin was not strong enough.
where does this lewis had no chin come from? he got hit twice.although briggs & akinwande caught him but other then that he was never really in trouble.i got all these guys career fights & id say tyson & lewis were close but lewis' level of competition was superior in my eyes.tyson was an animal & he peaked at 23.he didnt handle fame too well

At their absolute bests, I can't see any of the others beating Holyfield.

Tyson would be second... but I could not envision him beating a prime Evander. Holyfield simply had too much skill and too much heart for any version of Tyson.

I'd put Bowe next, and Lewis last.
