Think he was a fighter who tried to do just enough to win but if it took heart to win he had that in abundance.
Hey GJC, been a while, but how much do you think that came from the Watson fight? Although he had had a great KO, and finishing, record up to that point do you think it was truly that which effected him so much?

Hi Benny how's you? Yeah not been getting on so much these days, think I'm wearing out a bit hope all good with you?
Think the Watson fight affected him but did see elements of him fighting well within himself before though I'd struggle to pin point specific fights. Think he always raised his game when he had to, if he wasn't challenged I think he did tend to cruise a little. Just my feeling

The first Watson fight was very close, the second fight with Benn was too.

I struggle to remember the Ray Close fight, but that aside there wasn't too much controversy.

If anything Eubank was unlucky to have lost the decision against Thompson first time round,

Eubank won that first Watson fight by six or seven rounds. A draw was fine in Benn return.

No other fight that went to points was even close (or difficult for him, for that matter) in my opinion, which the obvious one exception of the Schommer fight, which Eubank lost by six or seven rounds.

Thought he beat Collins and Thompson at first time of asking.

He certainly didn't appear to have beaten Watson by six or seven rounds. He'd have had to win at least 9 of the 12 rounds to do that.

Though I do agree that the first Collins fight perhaps should have gone to Eubank. Also, Chris deliberately let Collins off the hook after decking him in what? Round 10.......ghosts of the second Watson fight?

Though Collins rightly deserved fight 2.
