    147-140 Marvelous,.
I've watched that fight many times and I've never worked out how Duran could have been ahead after 12, even when trying to score rounds for Duran. It wasn't Hagler's best performance but he was still winning most of the rounds. Hagler never seemed to get a break on the scorecards.

And I agree about Johnson-Pastrano. Horrible decision. It wasn't even that close.

I would like to see how other people scored the first Hagler-Antuofermo fight. That fight was not even close to being a draw from what I watched.

Jermain Taylor vs Bernard Hopkins 1 (July 16, 2005)

        Round 1: Hopkins
        Round 2: Taylor
        Round 3: Taylor
        Round 4: Hopkins
        Round 5: Hopkins
        Round 6: Taylor
        Round 7: Taylor
        Round 8: Taylor
        Round 9: Hopkins
        Round 10: Hopkins
        Round 11: Hopkins
        Round 12: Hopkins

Hopkins 115-113 over Taylor, I felt B-Hop was robbed in their first fight, but the second fight, Taylor did beat Hopkins and clearly won.

Jermain Taylor is the only man, to this day to hold two wins over Hopkins.

It's a shame he burned out so quick. Jermain Taylor was a pretty good fighter, you'd have to be to fight competitively with Hopkins, let alone beat him twice.

No he was not, sorry, not by championship standard.

Hopkins was throwing 1 punch per round in those fights. Taylor athleticism had something to do with that, but that's all he had going for him.

I remember watching that fight and being very sympathetic to Duran's work but no way I had him ahead or even near at 12. Do think that him still being in there and battling got him more points than he actually scored. Think the same theory worked against Hagler v Leonard too.

I think there is truth to that GJC, when an old favourite, or anyone for that matter who is expected to take a beating does better than u thought he would there is a tendency to give them more credit (scoring wise) than they have actually earned

What about the Winky Wright fight then? Winky sure as hell threw more than one punch per round, like you're exaggerating Hopkins was.

Yes and in fact landed many more than Taylor did, who was very lucky escaping with a draw.

Obviously I am exaggerating saying that Hopkins threw 1 punch per round, but his output was ridiculously low. If you saw the Eastman fight, you know that. (And he looked on the slide to me since the 2nd joppy fight IMO)

Look, I am sorry that you think Taylor was in any way a special fighter, I really don't know what to say to that. To me it is quite obvious -beyond debate- that he was not. ever. and he also never showed that he could be special, not to me at least.

I happen to like the guy, and hence I don't enjoy putting him down, but I can unfortunately go on for a while.

I actually had Jermain a point up i believe, a draw was fair enough imo. Wink acted like a little biitch afterwards, ud have thought he dominated
