The Tuaminater was indestructable in his prime and never fell.
Tua had chin problems which is why he was kept away from all the top fighters...

I think Tua has a real good chin, ive seen enough clean hard shots from pretty good punchers land on it to feel confident saying that. Against Savon he was only 19 years old going in against an all time great AM fighter and u can see how much sturdier he is physically as he matures (and yes fat too!) And against Rahman, he was square on and got up quickly, and no shame in it anyways Hasim can ****. He has a good chin IMO

I love that inside with heavy hands style! I'd say Tua's a great. He's one of those greats that never was. Tua will always have his clips of pure awesomness were he just runs in and knocks out. Someone already mentioned that he beat champions before they were champs, but in like 19 and 30 seconds he KO'd Ruiz and Moore...c'mon man thats kick ass. Haye couldn't shut off the lights of an old Ruiz not that Haye's a great I'm just saying Tua's at least better then one of the three present champions, and obviously was better then some of the old title holders. He's a Langford...all that talent and no respect.

Side Bar- all those "swarmers" only had problems if they weren't hitting you. :P I love that they put stucco in Rocco's cut in the Charles fight. Classically Tough!

The only blemishes on Tua happened

          1. When he was a teenage boy
          2. When he was an old man
          3. After the bell

In his prime he stood in with Ike Ibeabucci and Lennox Lewis who were arguably the hardest hitters of that era

I agree if ur talking about chin blemishes but i would say an Old Mike Tyson hits harder than a young Ibeabuchi for one

When he was younger and coming up through the ranks i was pretty excited about him, his power is sensational, it holds its own with most of the true greats imo, his stamina was good his chin solid but he turned out to be more of a predictable plodder with no real footwork or angles, no plan B. And watching him quit on himself against Lennox was sad. On the whole he has been in some good tear ups (Izon, Ibeabuchi ect.) but his career has been a disapointment and he just wasnt that good in the end.

And there is nothing wrong with Joe Frazier's chin......
              ...or Jack Dempsey's.

Very True. And u know what else, a Young Tyson was super fit, if he didnt knock you out he just kept puttin it on u for the whole fight, i remember the commentator in one of his fights saying how Tyson was one of the few fighters in the sport at the time who would enjoy 15 round bouts

Tua had bags of problems, hence never being a great like all of the guys you mentioned there.

I liked tua, he was exciting to watch as with the other guys you've mentioned. He was good enough to pick up a title but never to dominate an era, he doesn't seem to me to have a massive drive either. If he did he would have been more successful. Didn't live up to his potential, but still his potential was never an ATG.
