Whats your take on him & his career?

Not a great or anything. But really should of won a world title, and his punching power was something to behold.

He beat 4 future or former world champions in John Ruiz, Oleg Maskaev, Hasim Rahman, & Michael Moorer And won them all by KO.

Greatest modern Heavy who didnt win a title.

He is the ONLY swarmer I ever liked.

    -Tyson had stamina problems
    -Patterson had chin problems
    -Dempsey had chin problems
    -Frazier had chin problems
    -Marciano had cut problems

The Tuaminater was indestructable in his prime and never fell.

Big power and a solid chin but lacking in other areas, has a few highlight reel knockouts and was only clearly beaten twice when he was at his most dangerous, and it was by lewis and byrd so not too much shame in that.A threat against the majority of heavyweights, but not a favourite over any elite heavies that i can think of

Well i suppose they are what you would call elite right now,but none of those 5 are anything special imo

I think Tua would knock solis and adamek out,no doubt in my mind, most probably haye too.he would have a good shot of KOing wlad but could well lose a wide decision,nd id heavily favour vitali too beat him

A massively over-rated fighter, with a career as poorly-managed as his diet.

As poor as Tua was in a lot of areas, his management really let him down so many times. He had this completely unjustified reputation they could've done a lot more to capitalise on. Of course, he was hardly blameless himself --- it's a pretty poor marketing job on your behalf to so routinely blow out in weight, to utterly freeze in your biggest fight, & to be out-boxed by a fighter as mediocre as Rahman...well.

Your stats really depend on how you define, "World Champion," too. If you go by the most legitimate form, the lineage (as I do), then he beat Rahman --- controversially, & after taking a whipping --- who is one of the worst linear Champions in the division through the last thirty years, & a completely washed-up version of Moorer.

Ruiz & Maskaev were decent fighters, but nothing more than that, & both should really only ever be referred to as, "titleists," (in an age where everyone is, no less).

Frazier did not have a chin problem. He had one of the best chins around. Watch his fights. If your referring to the Foreman fight that was a size/style/strategy/physical decline problem and he was never knocked out and he got up from those booming shots. If you watch his fights through his career and see the shots he stood up to it was something. He defenetly did not have a chin problem.

I don't think his post was being serious, in fairness.

Tua isnt a great fighter but u would have thought he would have captured a title at some point! When he was younger and coming up through the ranks i was pretty excited about him, his power is sensational, it holds its own with most of the true greats imo, his stamina was good his chin solid but he turned out to be more of a predictable plodder with no real footwork or angles, no plan B. And watching him quit on himself against Lennox was sad. On the whole he has been in some good tear ups (Izon, Ibeabuchi ect.) but his career has been a disapointment and he just wasnt that good in the end.

And there is nothing wrong with Joe Frazier's chin......
