Ouch! The worst body shots ever), Hearns (Barkley..how he stood up to them then came back to KO him, we'll never know. One tough bastard), McCallum (who didn't he break down; I loved the job he did on Jackson), Ward (Shea Neare, Green, Gatti, Augustus...everyone he ever landed that shot on), Duran (Fernandez; he was one tough mutha and took a brutal beating to the body for fourteen rounds before finally caving), Chavez (who didn't he hurt? Haugen was particularly painful), LaMotta (Robinson among many others) blah blah blah.

Mosley's were super hurtin' too against Margarito. That right hand in the first that he loads up on madly.....wow! I swear right when Margarito got hit with that one he knew he was in for a really bad night. You could see something in him stop.
Good list man, im glad someone brought up Shane Mosley, in his lightweight days he was known as one of the games bes body pnchers as he became a bigger start and WW champ it kinda fell off and everyone seems to forget its in his arsenal.

Oddly enough one of the greatest body shots i can remember was one landed on Mosley in the first Forrest fight when he was on the ropes, Shane actually YELPS out and Loudly! I will never know what kept him up.

Im a fan of Joe Frazier's body work, and also a young Mike Tyson coming up was pretty devastating to the body.

The best body puncher ive ever seen tho is Chavez hands down.

          Joe Frazier
          Jake Lamotta
          George Foreman
          Joe Louis
          Rocky Marciano

all come to mind....but IMO Frazier tops them all because if you saw his fights against ali and others the body shots and sounds which came from them were brutal...kidneys swelling up and liver etc get really badly effected by constant body punches and if countered and timed right like for e.g. in RJJ-Virgil Hill , Cotto-Foreman , Hatton-Castillo then they all drop eventually

Micky Ward was a very good body puncher as well.

            Agreed.

Ward may not have been an elite fighter, but his body pinching was at an elite level and some of the best I've ever seen.

I'm going to break with tradition and go with Arguello. If you mean who relied on it the most for his success, then Chavez.

I'm gonna catch some flak for this, but Antonio Margarito is an absolutely EVIL body puncher. I'm not going to comment on the wraps because I don't know if he used them. What I do see is that every time he lands to the body, it sounds like cannon-fire and clearly impacts his opponents, whether its Cintron, Clottey, Cotto, Williams...everybody not named Mosley was bothered by that body attack.

Oh yeah. Second Cintron fight, terrific left uppercut to the liver and down he goes. What a body puncher.

Would have thought that Homicide Hank would have been mentioned by now. Tony Zale is worth a mention too and Archie Moore's body work get overlooked I think.
Some good names mentioned so far though
