It's interesting because Hearns was never outboxed in his career, but Hopkins was so good at his best at neutralizing opponents and he would have such a strength advantage. Hopkins would have to chase Hearns I would imagine, and try to bully him a little.

I don't think it's far fetched at all that Hopkins would stop Hearns, like I said this fight could go many different ways.

Just keep thinking about this and its such a good matchup. It's not a war like Gatti-Corrales, but it's such a technical chessmatch. One big advantage for Hopkins would be Hearns' lack of a size advantage on him. The reach would still be there, but it's weird seeing Tommy in there with somebody almost his size. I think that he would have a lot of trouble landing on Hopkins, to be honest, and B-Hop's body attack really makes me think that he could pull off the upset.

I like a peak Hopkins over Tommy Hearns, Nard used to be able to mintain a pace get on ur chest and bully up close (Im thinking of like a Hopkins vs Holmes type performance) I know Tommy Hearns is no kieth Holmes not by a stretch but i think Bernard has the chin to handle the shots that get through, the strength to bully The Hitman and the technique to score with his telling shots, Hopkins on points.
