I can see Frazier bobbing and weaving thus dodging the jab, plus hitting Wladimir harder than he was ever hit, relentlessly. Fraziers heart wouldn't allow him to be beat. Wladimit knocked out in Round 6-8.
IMO Frazier would weight 10-15lbs more if he was around today. Wlad was 220 in his debut, now 244-247. Frazier was 203 in his debut, I can see him weighing 215-219lb of muscle.
Fraziers style was built upon the foundation of nullifying tall, jabbing, outside boxers like Wlad. I always thought, throughout history, if I had to pick one fighter to take down Wlad, it'd be Frazier. He fights at a fast pace for the full length of the fight, the guy never gets tired, he has tremendous power throughout the fight as well. And Joe has a trait that is very underrated; the speed and accuracy of his left hook. We always hear of the power it has, but we never hear of how fast he was able to deliver it. I mean, the guy could throw lead hooks like it was nothing, even without setting it up. He also came at you with fast forward footwork that makes him the ultimate pressure fighter, especially to negate distance. A lot of the fighters Wlad has fought have always had this inability to move forward AND move their head simultaneously. Those fighters could only do one at a time. Joe obviously could do both because he'd set his left-hooks up that way.
If you're going to pick a man Frazier's size, with that big a disparity to Wladimir, you pick one with speed and power and elite inside fighting ability...in short, you pick Joe Frazier. I am not an anti-Klittite but I do think Frazier would get inside and eat Wlad for lunch, platonically speaking. Frazier is a worse match-up for Wlad than vice versa, imo.
Im going to let this thread stay out of respect for the TS. But if we start getting unobjective posters in here with nothing to say but "this one is great" or "that one sucks" with out rationaly and politely explaining their choices than Im going to shut it down. Trolls are not welcome here. I hope everybody understands.

Appreciated.
I'm hoping someone picks Wlad and gives a decent explanation of why they think so.
I'm going to get some breakfast and I'll post my thoughts.
This fight would be very interesting. It all depends on if Frazier can get inside on Wlad. IMO when Frazier does get inside Wlad will just hold him, but if there is a referee that maybe takes a point away from Wlad for holding and makes Klitschko actually fight Frazier, there is no doubt in my mind that Smokin' Joe's got this one. But with a modern referee who wouldn't dare take a point from Wlad I would pick Wladimir.
Hard Pick but if someone put a gun to my head, I would probably go with the big man in this one.

For Wlad to win he would have to establish his thudding jab right from the opening bell. If he could discourage Frazier much the way he did Ibragimov and keep him on the outside than he could start to unload the heavy artillery and get a possible stoppage.
The problem is, Frazier isn't Ibragimov. If Joe is able to slip under that jab he's going to set a pace that will have Wlad huffing and puffing like the first Brewster fight, yet against a much more dangerous fighter.
Who ever anyone picks I think everyone would agree that this fight never see's the score cards. I personally don't think it would go 7 rounds. If Wlad can get the jab going and impose his size he'll have Joe out by the 7th. If Joe's able to get underneath the jab and set his pace he'll have Wlad out sometime in the 5th. Jmo.

If Wlad does get his jab going it's only going to be going(lol) at a desirable pace for a little while until those stamina issues kick in and if Frazier hasn't already done so he will knock him out then probably firing a left hook over a lazy right hand.
