Those 2 guys just aren't as good and their resume's are not better than Bowes.

If Bowe's resume was so great, then who did he ever beat worth mentioning besides Evander? And he only looked brilliant in the first Holyfield fight. By the 3rd fight he was crap. I defintitely rate Lewis and the Klitschko's higher.

You have also stated that the Klitschko's are greater than Max Baer...

It was a good performance alright, but man, some people go on about it as if he was unbeatable. He looked just as good and did everything the same in losing efforts to Mike White (who he was owning before gassing just a little bit and getting done), Tony Tucker (again, got lazy/tired and stopped late but unlike Tyson, Tucker had enough to finish him off when he hurt him).

Douglas for years before the Tyson fight had been performing at around that same level. He looked better than in some fights and just as good in others. He just had a perfect opponent at the perfect time. Similar things happened to him in other fights though; he would be looking good, boxing well and winning or very close, and he would get a little tired or lazy and then get caught just like Tyson caught him. In Tyson's case he didn't have enough, didn't care enough, hadn't trained enough/whatever to be able to do anything. In the other fights, the guys were able to finish him off because they had more left than Tyson did.

He also did the same things in every fight. The exact same mistakes. He did them against Tyson, Holyfield, Tucker and in every other fight I've seen. Holyfield had obviously watched because he took advantage of his most obvious bad habit. The first uppercut from too far back he threw, he got countered and stopped. He threw that punch numerous times in every fight of his I've seen. Good fighters like Holyfield etc are able to pick those things up easily and make you pay big time.

That is correct. I rate their title reigns as clearly better. That doesn't necessarily mean that Bowe or Baer wouldn't beat them if they had fought.

I agree with this fully, but still consider Baer to rate higher all time based on comp. That said, I also think Wlad will surpass him and jump into the top 15 if not better once his career is over.

That seems reasonable. It's usually dangerous to rate a current fighter on an all time basis. The 1998 Ring Magazine rating of Holyfield showed that. Wladimir has plenty of room to move up or down still. Personally I believe that he'll eventually get KO'd again.

That's intereresting I always understood it as Douglas being in his top form the night he fought Tyson. The only Douglas fight I have seen has been the fight against Tyson though, seen it 4 or 5 times maybe more as they always show it on espn and tsn classic fights. Which has been my main source of iformation over the years besides the odd book. I plan on watching some of the Douglas fights you mentioned if I can find them online and see what I think.

I have watched many Lewis and Klitschko fights and I honestly really try to see the specialness in them. But I just can't to be honest. They are good I will give them that much but I just keep thinking that I have watched better boxers.

i agree... if you want to watch Douglas then try watching him against these fighters:
                    Oliver McCall
                    Trevor Berbick
                    Mike Williams
                    Greg Page
                    Jesse Ferguson

Last night I watched most of the Berbick fight he looked good in the fight. Eventually I would like to watch these other fights if I can find them online I noticed that the McCall fight was there. And I will likely watch his losses eventually also but I could not find them to watch. Again I saw a lot of ability in the Berbick fight.
