I didn't know about that riot, I do know that Billy Graham was just totally robbed so a riot is to be expected. Two that stick to mind were :--------------------------- Les Darcy Vs Jeff Smith 1, after Smith cheated big time and won by DQ instead of Losing by DQ, and the entire Sydney Stadium erupted into violence that is now legendary, reports say that the Stadium itself was almost totalled, all the seats were destroyed and it took hours to get under control,........ The crowd was full of Australian soldiers that night who were legendary disrupters, a year later in 1916, SIX THOUSAND Diggers started a PUB-CRAWL in Sydney and it became a night of legend, the drunkeness was off the scale, so much so that the government brought in the laws that became known as "The Six-O-Clock Swill", meaning that all licenced establishments had to close at Six pm...... That bastard of a law wasn't repealed until the 60's.-------:- the other riot that can never be forgotten was at the Lionel Rose Vs Chu Chu Castillo in Los Angeles, Lionel won the decision which was apparently correct but the crowd was almost entirely Mexican and they turned very nasty. Many of the crowd were intent on hurting Rose and his cornermen, Lionel said that a couple of policemen virtually saved his and Jack Rennie's lives on that occasion it is almost a replay of the legendary Darcy V Smith riots, except that it was against Rose himself, but just like the Sydney riot (there were many actually) there wasn't a chair left undamaged and took hours to get under control....... does anyone know if Castillo ever got another Title shot ??? .............I'd be interested to find out.

When Bobby Hitz was training in Michigan with us I remember being shown a video where Bobby stops some guy and then punches him after the fight was over/stopped. The place went nuts with chairs being thrown and everybody just started fighting in the crowd. Bobby was a character, fun guy to be around. He's a big promoter in Chicago now with his fights being aired on ESPN.......Rockin'
