Who did Johnson duck? And didn't guys duck him? Man, that guy was a tough, hard hitting heavyweight. The only thing missing from that was footage of him and some of the white women he used to carouse with as a big middle finger to racist white America back then. Or maybe he just liked white women.

Wasn't Johnson the reason why they had those rules for Jor Louis, like about not standing over a knocked down or out opponent and not being photographed or filmed alone with a white woman?

      Evidence suggests he ducked Langford.

I personally think "ducking" is too harsh a word in this instance, considering he did fight him before, just never again.
I don't know if many know this story but, in Cleveland after Jack Johnson had won the title Sam Langford seen him and cornered him in a bar saying they should have their fight down in the cellar, to which Jack Johnson pulled his gun on Langford.

Jack Blackburn (Louis' trainer) had a huge dislike for Johnson and didn't want Louis to be anything like Johnson so yea, he's the reason Louis was so "obedient" really.
