Of course there is the obvious people like de la hoya and mayweather but can you think of many other guys who made loads of money.

One guy who ifyou actually take a look through his record, he made loads of money, John Ruiz. Think about it the guy had 3 fights with Holyfield, he fought Jones, Haye, Toney, Chagaev, Valuev x2, Golota, Oquendo, Rahman, Tucker, Tua etc.

Considering how hard they have to work for there money, it seems strange to me that they are so carefree with it. Also the Tam man will end up taking around 33% of a fighters purse.

Nigel Benn stated in his auto that around 4m of his total earnings went to the irs.

Rocky Marciano, at least for the '50s made a lot and was one of those guys who after retirement, seemed to save and invest well, did some speaking engagements. Apparently he would only do them if paid in cash though. There's some famous story about Rocky where at some black tie dinner he made a speech and wouldn't accept some cashier's check offered to him so a collection was taken around the room. Marciano took the cash, handed back the check, thanked the host and left. He was also known for keeping cash around wherever he was living or staying both during his career and after his retirement, with money hidden all over the place.
