In your opinion who ranks higher p4p, and who would have won in a h2h match up at say 168?

H2H, two fighters from different eras, Conn is naturally bigger and more technical, while Ketchel seem to be more unorthodox and his blows were more wide, of course looking at old footage the speed of the film may highlight technical flaws, but i would favor conn h2h.

Im going to play Devils Advocate and say that it MIGHT not look good for Conn if Ketchel catches him. But otherwise i see Conn outboxing him fairly easily.

He didn't need to elaborate because Chuvalo did indeed lose clearly, twice, to Ali - only delusional twats believe otherwise.
As for the thread, I have only seen two Ketchel fights and I don't see him being able to handle Conn's movement. He did Knock down a 209 pound Johnson, so he might have a chance to drop Conn as well but I don't believe he'll be able to land cleanly.
Conn's performance vs Louis I is one of my favourite fights and I've seen it dozens of times. Conn was able to stand toe-to-toe for brief periods in that fight and trade punches with the Brown Bomber, out-pointing Joe in several exchanges, even buckling the champs legs. He put together some brilliant combinations in that fight.
I can't make a comment comparing their resumes because I don't know much about Stanley's record.Last edited by JAB5239; 11-13-2010, 03:55 AM.
