      Im going by what I've read from historians. The bottom line is effectiveness though. Was his brawling dirty style not effective?

        Lets not get carried away. Those guys didn't have nearly the same percentage of losses. A more appropriate comparison would be to Bert Cooper.

          Good comparison, but I believe Galento beat better fighters though many times with the help of questionable tactics.

            Galento gets more credit for dropping Joe Louis and losing then for any single win he actually had. Same could be said of Bert Cooper against Evander Holyfield.

              I have long been a fan of "two ton" and his historical antics. Really suprised they have not made a movie because his character and story are worth telling
