Mugabi was better at 154lbs and was a "Hype Job" for Marvin Hagler, whenerever Mugabi fought an opponent who had a little class he usually got KOd

Mugabi was a killer for sure. But I'll always remember him for going to war with Hagler and getting knocked out in the first by Norris and McClellan.

At some point after the Hagler fight he was in a bad car accident and had a lot of his muscles torn up, he was never the same after that

Mugabi wasn't nearly as good as his reputation. Other than giving Hagler a tough fight (which he never came close to winning), who did he ever beat that makes him so highly regarded?

If you want a quick history on Mugabi grab this month's Boxing Monthly, there is a good article and interview with him now. Only 3 quid or so. Good article!

Ha, its British for one pound. The mag is something like £3.20.

Not that you'll be interested if you're not a fan of Mugabi!

As for Mayorga, I'll give him the Forrest fights.......hell he entertained me, with his ciggies and verbal. Great? Na, but for those two nights he was a real handful.

Nobody. He was an explosive puncher, I'll give him that. But he was limited. I look at Mugabi as a front runner.
