What do you think of his Tarver win?

Hi victory over Tarver was a very good win but Tarver looked shyte on the night, BHop and Hagler at 160lb then its Hagler for me.

That is true. But you cant really hold that against Hopkins. Ive never really rated Tarver, he had the style to give Jones fits and thats about it. But it still is a great win for Hopkins, seeing as how he jumped up two divisons

Yes it was an excellent win for Hopkins.. IMO BHop blew his chance big style of being an instant legendary ATG fighter the night he fought Calzaghe, Hopkins had Calzaghe beaten then blew it all by faining injury from a low punch... IMO that episode destroyed BHop's place among the ATGs and he now struggles to be rated a Top 10 middleweight

            lol
Hopkins intangibles/will to win, have always been suspect. His use of cheating as a form of strategy is a reason ive never really been a fan of his.

I think Hagler is the greatest MW of all time.

Head to head it would have been an interesting fight and I actually think bhop could have beaten hagler on hopkins best day.

that's pretty strange being that fight was at light heavy and hopkins was 43 years old. I don't see how that effects his MW ranking...

Either way it would of been a good fight. Hopefully one of these days, they create a really cool computer simulation, so we can see these fights

Nothing strange about what i said... "i said it is my opinion" and regardless of which weight or what age Hopkins was fighting Calzaghe, he had an excellent opportunity and blew it

I would argue that Hagler biggest win was over the like of Monroe, Briscoe and maybe Roldan. Hearns hadnt proved anything at mw when he fought Hagler

Hearns has a better resume that Tito, Duran was a better mw than Oscar

                      Hopkins best wins
                      Tarver
                      the little guys
hagler faced better m.w opposition???thats not possible.
                      jones
                      glen johnson
                      mercado
                      taylor
                      jackson
                      holmes

                      echols

hearns is definitely haglers biggest win.im not saying best or toughest, but biggest name win.duran was a better mw cause he actually fougt there for a good run, oscar only had 2 fights there.1 really being as how hopkins was a catchweight.but i wasnt even counting duran as he was well past his best when he fought hagler.i was actually comparing leonard with oscar

                      as for hagler
                      hamsho
                      roldan
                      monroe
                      mugabi
                      minter
thats all i can squeeze out of haglers resume.and no i dont consider antufermo a quality fighter

hopkins biggest wins are better than hagler, clearly his mw wins are better as hagler lost, and had draws to limited comp, and clearly fought tougher fighters overall.and hops at the time was only the 2nd guy to see the final bell against jones
