    1. Ricardo Lopez
    2. Pernell Whitaker
    3. Ray Leonard
    4. Roberto Duran
    5. Wilfredo Gomez

Duran and Gomez did some of their best work in the seventies, so if I were to drop them...

    6. Julio Ceasar Chavez Sr.
    7. Marvelous Marvin Hagler

      OK 80s, 90s and 00s

      1) Roy Jones Jnr
      2) Sugar Ray Leonard
      3) Thomas Hearns/Marvin Hagler (I cant split these two overall despite Hagler's win at middleweight)
      4) Larry Holmes

Whitaker and Chavez would come next with honourable mentions for Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Manny Pac and Floyd Mayweather.

      I've missed loads!

good list bud. Though I will be tempted to have Duran there. And its good that you feel that you missed some, that states that there were a lot of good fighters, 30 years later, the way we are going now, we will be hard pressed to find 5 fighters to fit that list

If it was the last 40 years Duran would certainly be in it. I still dont like to think that the early 80s was thirty years ago!!

Yea, so many great fighters from the last 30 years. I'm a Toney fan, McCallum, Pryor, De la Hoya, Mosley have been great too. I'm glad its only 5 needed.......

Would you honestly rate Oscar over Tommy Hearns?

Mike Tyson over Evander Holyfield, Thomas Hearns, Pernell Whitaker? Oscar De La Hoya over Pernell Whiatker, JCC, Evander Holyfield & Thomas Hearns?
