No way was De La Hoya better than Whitaker. And am sure most will agree with me here.

In my opinion Pernell beat him, and that was when Pernell was washed up. Pernell was more skilled, and Whitaker was never beaten in his prime imo.

Overall just the greater fighter. And Tyson is just ain't in Whitaker league imo.

I think Duran is all time great than all the guy I have above him. However, mos of his work came in the 70's. I still think though he put in enough work in the last 30 years to be in the top 5. I just think the 3 I have ahead of him accomplished more during those 30 years period.

And, I couldn't decide between Hearns, Holyfield, and Hagler for my #5 spot. So I just went with Hagler do to alphabetical order. I think is really close between those 3 and you could just switch them around.

Great list I would probably put Whitaker number 1 though, theres the Benitez fight and a few contenders missing from Leonards career. I would probably pick Holyfield for H.

You know what, Naseem Hamed could have been rightly heading to being one of the better pound for pound boxers over the last 30 years. Exciting, fast, powerful, elusive, colourful, unorthodox. In his prime he impressed me alot, I've never been so sorry to see a guy depreciate as quickly as Hamed did. In my opinion he was post prime at 25 and by 28 completely lacking in ambition.

The Barrera loss should have been a wake up call, he always said he wanted to be a legend. Problem is......the legends always come back well! He was happy to eat himself out of condition. Shame!

To be honest I felt that prime Naz was everything before Kevin Kelly in very late 1997. The cracks seemed to form around then and after the ugly corner scenes in the McCullough fight in 1998 (where Naz pushed Brendan Ingle's face away) I think he was well on his way down the slippery slope of relying on his power rather than the things that made him special, his elusiveness and combination punching.....so evident in the Robinson fight.

It was painful watching Barrera expose 'that' Hamed in what 2001? Prime Hamed would have done so much better.

I'm actually a big Barrera fan, I really like his fight with McKinney and the first with Morales, a proper warrior and his gameplan for 'that' Hamed really gained my respect.

I think a four round victory for Hamed might be a little optimistic, I think Barrera learned alot from the Jnr Jones fights, but hand on heart.....I think prime for prime, Naseem Hamed wins that fight.
