The mark of a true fighter is overcoming adversity in the worst situations. Duran might've been "off" that day, but instead of sticking in there and weathering the storm, he decided to bail when the going got rough.

Spin it how you want, but that's some straight cowardly shyt in the sport of boxing especially for a supposed ATG. You say it hasnt left a dent in his legacy but run a google search on him and count how many times that incident comes up.

Jab should keep a close eye on Mr President posts.

He is a certifid troll on NSB, and I would hate for him to try bringing the history section down after it has been getting back to normal.

Probably not. But speaking of Leonard, he also has said himself that he wanted to get in the ring with a weakened, weight drained Duran for their second fight and also wouldn't get in the ring with a prime Hagler.

But to the Fraud Mayweather line I lol.

You're only calling me a "troll" because i'v posted circles around you on numerous occasions. I'm responsible for some of the greatest threads in NSB history and this section is lucky to have me post in it from time to time. Now if you don't have anything to add to the topic at hand then kindly see yourself out of my thread.

In Floyd's last 2 fights he knocked off the #3 and #4 P4P fighters respectively and has been pushing for over a year to make the Pacquiao fight happen. When you consider that along with all the other top ranked fighters he's beaten over his illustrious career while consistantly moving up and dominating 6 weight classes then it's obvious that if Leonard fought in this era they would've met. Of course that's assuming Leonard wouldnt pull the patented Pacquiao "I'm scared of needles and taking a small amount of blood will weaken me" card which i don't think he would.

That fight doesn't define Duran's career to a damn person that actually cares about boxing. It's more of a moment remembered in Leonard's career.

Duran proved a hundred times over he is not a coward, and no serious boxing fan remembers him as such because of that fight.

In his last 4 fights Fraud Gayweather has managed to:

Beat a washed up Shane Mosley
Beat a past-prime Featherweight in Juan Manuel Marquez
Beat an over-glorified clubfighter in Ricky Hatton
Barely beat a well past it Oscar De La Hoya

Not to mention spending the past year doing everything he could to weasle out of a fight with Manny Pacquiao. If they have a pulse Pretty Gay Floyd doesn't want to fight them.

Keep the Mayweather / Pacquaio shit out of this section.

Heard enough of it as it is, we don't need it over here.

Mayweather was brought up by the TS in his rather absurd opening post.

Duran took on all comers and fought during 4 decades. Fought SRL a third time even when he (Duran) was well past his prime. Came up from LW to fight one of the top 5 greatest MWs of all time.

                    Coward indeed.

No he shouldnt, you just need to look at his resume & accomplishments too know he was anything but a coward

Floyd mayweather will go down as a coward, his whole legacy will be tarnished by the fact that hes going to deprive us of one of the biggest fights in boxing history by not wanting to fight pacquioa, its sad,but its true
