Briggs has the skills, the height and the power to make the fight competitive, particularly against an old Vitali, but I believe most people don't fancy his chances because he has a history of having huge stamina issues, and since he's come back, we haven't had the chance to see if, as he claims, he has settled those issues

I personnaly believe he will do well in the first 3 or 4 rounds, and will stop punching totally gased at the beginning of the 5th round, and it will be Vitali's fight from there on

Vitali wouldnt have taken this unless he was sure he'd have an easy time.vitali is just less washed up than briggs.briggs might have had his moments ten years ago but hes washed up now.

Someone could potentially pick off Vitali in the next couple of years... but I don't think Briggs is the guy to do it.

I might even put some money on the interesting odds.

Do you guys think his got a REAL chance? or are you one of the many that think this won't even be a contest?

There is always a "chance" but realistically Briggs will lose this fight in a
one sided way. His stamina issues and low punch rate will not get it done in this fight. And Vitali has an excellent chin. So the punchers chance is slim too.

Last time I saw Briggs he lost every round to Ibragimov and looked pathetic. His muscles looked strong that's about it.

That's what I thought too. I don't expect Briggs to be any better today.

Shockingly onesided display! Very brave of Briggs to have got to the end, crazy that the fight wasn't stopped before then.

On recent threads there has been question marks about the awarding of a 10:8 round to a guy who hasn't been dropped. Well one judge awarded three rounds as 10:8, the other two judges, one round by 10:8.

Naturally the fight was a shutout.
