Lennox Lewis's ATG HW Rating, Purely Of Resume Of Wins?

I have Battling Nelson blocked, so I can not read his original post, but this one is for him.

Most of the people who roided up got caught doing it. If you are juicing regularly before every bout its only a matter of time before you are outed. The information will always leak out eventually; Vitali Klitschko, Evander Holyfield, Botha, Morrison and Briggs were all caught.


This is why I know Lennox was one of the few clean athletes:

1. His weight gain was largely fat, not muscle. You could clearly see in his last fight(257 lbs) all the soft tissue he accumulated during his lay off. Steroids would give you the opposite appearence: a hard-cut look.

2. Lennox did not get stronger or faster as his career went on. Physically Lennox was a shell of his former self when you compare the stationary jabber in 2002, to the explosive killer he was in 1992. Lennox's late success was due to him becoming a smarter fighter under Emanuel Steward.

3. There is no evidence or su****ion hovering around Lennox's career as the other Heavyweights of that era. Its impossible to hide in this era we live in: Roy Jones, James Toney, Vargas, every big name who cheated got caught.

Lennox beat guys with his height, reach, coordination and skill set. P.E.Ds were not needed for him to be great.

as always on any thread about Lennox Lewis i seem to be the only guy who posts any links... not a single link has been put up by anyone to back up their claims and when i put up a link its trashed with "Bowe is punch-drunk" but so are around 90% of all boxers so are we now to say that any ex-boxer who makes a claim is talking bull****e?.... It's link of evidence to back up your claim which is needed, not your own take on the situation, i have put up 3 links and have several more here waiting, so unless you guys who disagree actually come up with some proof then you cannot be taken seriously..

You are claiming that Lewis demanded options on Bowe. What thread can prove something that never happened or was likely even discussed? Bowe had a manager to negotiate for him and probably only knows what he was told. And that clip you used as evidence happened at least 20 years after the fact. Sure took a long ****ing time for Team Bowe to come up with that bull****.

i don't need to check the scorecards on Tua vs Lewis, i watched both fights and Byrd made Tua look foolish.. Byrd also comprehensively beat Holyfield who was unfortunate to get a draw with Lewis (i had Lewis the winner) then was "ROBBED" of the titles in their 2nd fight with 42 of 48 ringside reporters having Holyfield the clear winner.

Byrd beat Vitali full stop... forget the injury theory otherwise we may as well say that Clay only beat Liston because of injury, Hagler only beat Hearns because of injury, Max Baer only beat Carnera because of injury, Vitali claimed to suffer an injured shoulder caused by missing Byrd yet David Tua & Holyfield both suffered shoulder injuries when fighting Chris Byrd yet they never "Quit"..

John Ruiz has proved over and over again that he was a legit contender and none more so than back in 1999 as was Chris Byrd, yet it seems that you are in favor of Lewis not fighting the No1 contenders and fighting Frans Botha instead.

Comparing different injuries in different fights is too absurd to even debate. Baer knocked Carnera down 10 times, yet that is comparable to Byrd-Vitali?

you are struggling badly to back-up your argument.. Baer v Carnera was an example.. Holyfield like you say was clearly beaten by Byrd which i agree, yet Holyfield was NOT clearly beaten by Lewis infact he was clearly robbed in their rematch.

Lewis got KOed by Tysons sparring partner.

Its a no contest, Tyson easily had the better carrear.

Lewis got taken out by 2 hail mary punches, it could've happened to anyone. Especially in the HW division.

Lewis never quit on his stool, or resorted to biting when things got a bit rough. Tysons' team did a great job in building up this myth of an unbeatable fighter with unheard of power, but the proven facts are that Mike lost to every good fighter he faced (plus some very very average ones), and his best win is over an old, washed up Larry Holmes.

You are a funny guy. I only created one real Lennox topic in the history forums, and that was back when I was a kid in 2006. I rejoined the discussion in May of 2010 posting in topics that were already active on the front page.

By that time you had already spent a half year attacking anyone who spoke of LL in a positive light. It is you who has the obsession, not me.
