I meant he was willing to move up to fight Hagler. Hagler often called out guys at jmw to move up to face him

McCallum=dangerous opponent with little box office or TV ratings value. It's well known that Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, Duran, etc. wanted nothing to do with him when they could make more money fighting each other.

Very good fighter and underated by many. He is a gentleman outside of the ring and was a regular ringsider at many a british fight venue.

He always carried himself with dignity, that was one of the things I liked about him

Met him on several occasions in the 90's at various big fights. I must have at least four different fight programs with his autograph in.

Would of been good to have seen him fight Benn and Eubank. Everyone knows Eubanks biggest weakness was his body and McCallum would have severly tested him in that department.

I think he beats them both, Eubank obviously didnt want Benn to hit him in the body, which is why he held so much during thier second fight

The second round of McCallum-Watson was a masterpiece. I never seen parrying, 4-5 punch combos and slipping punches in one round. I would be lucky to see one of those things in a fight nowadays

Why did he call out smaller fighters (excluding the fab four which were all money purposes)

2:rack up another title defense

Mike had it all but blistering speed, I don't know why he wasn't a bigger star even Thomas Hearns said that he would never fight him
