Ray Robinson, for he was everything you wanted a fighter to be.The combinations, the speed, the power.Archie comes close, but a little bit lower on the talent scale.

Archie may have had slightly the better defensive skillset and possibly right hand power (though that is arguable!), but I'd wager that he was beaten in just about every other area by Ray......though not by a country mile. Archie was clearly one of the best pound for pound fighters ever its just that Robinson just might well have been top three.

      Many would say number 1.

Moore was great but up against Robinson he is at a disadvantage.

Speed, power and chin are not skills.

Um, yes they are. All can be improved through training.

I've got Moore as more skilled. His boxing skills are superlative. Ray Robinson had more talent and was very skilled in his own right, but I think Moore had him beat in the skills department.

Agreed on the speed and chin front.

I guess on the power front, technique plays a fair part though.

                    ali improved his chin.

can you name a boxer with no skills and incredible speed?

have you ever been to a boxing gym?

look around, just about every one of them has improved their speed and power since they started.
