But my major concern is that if the fight disappointed actionwise, or if the ending looked suspect, you know how hard the s*it would hit the fan. Boxing would suffer in the mainstream, and people who paid for it would feel cheated. I just see a lot more downside than upside.
This is very true. If it looked like one of his boring fights with lots of jabbing and clinching and simply went to a decision, then people would crack it and say that it was fixed and they were never going to even try to fight etc etc etc. It was just an easy sparring session at the paying people's expense and was deceitful and a robbery of what should have been the two best HW's fighting for the title blah blah. There is too much history for it to work, and it shouldn't be done anyway.

i think Lennox Lewis standing among ATG list has fallen dramatically over the last few years

We should put the Klitschko issue to rest on this part of the forum.

I see nothing morally wrong with the brothers fighting. It's not personal. The way I see it, they train, warm up, wrap their hands and glove up, fight, and then have a drink afterwards.

God forbid one got seriously hurt or killed though. How could the other live with himself let alone fight again?

You take that risk going into any fight. Plus it's a small risk.

Yes. It was stated of the top of my head, but I reckon so.

Based on his longevity atop the division, Wlad has earned top 30 I'd say. There are a lot of guys I would pick to beat him, but between his size, his ability to use that size, and his long reign, you can't deny him.

And we just need to drop it as far as the brothers fighting. It isn't going to happen, so whatever.
