Less repetitive stleast doing farming etc... Anyone got an example of training for a modern day well known boxer? I liked the break down of the day. I ride a biccle and 20 miles is relativel ok, and i also run, but to do 8 to 15 miles is not a joke on top. It does make you tolerant to pain thiugh, and cardio is great. Cyclng helps mainly the thighs, i guess ti generate power through the legs. Surprised about swimming not being used, its tough and less damaging. If the sport was bgger back then, is it safe to say they were the prime alpha males? Example today it could b nfl or nba or mma.
do you do this every day? man, your on level of elite boxers for running this distance.

He never says that, just that he can do 20 miles on a bike and be ok but to do 8-15 miles on top of that (even being a runner) is no joke.

lol thats why i ask? that distance doent give him more tolerance to pain. it would give him lots of pain, worse injury.

ahhhh but fitz would be walking 7 or 8 miles of those 15.

the walking would work as an active rest making him about the same if not less sore after the 15 then if he had just ran 8 straight with out any walking.

Still on y phone so sorry i cant space my reply out. No i dont run that everyday, once a week. Im training for the london marathon. My bidy needs to heal abd cyclig comes into it tomprevent damage tyat will cause injury. I run 3to 5 miles regularly, depends how i feel, but on sunday i am high. A lot of people can run at 8 mph, but running is running. When you can rjn over 10miles without pain, then its enjoyable, but your body has to go through a alt of pain early on. Then after 15 for me, mentally it starts to kill, running is too slow paced for me to enjoy for too long. I jog at about 5 to 6 mph on long runs. Again, a lot of people can run pretty fast, i see loads in london, but believe me they wouldnt like to get hit in sparring, they have no heart for it. Boxing is a tough sport in allnsorts of ways. For me, they are the gladiators of the world
