Marvin Hagler had a pretty amazing jab IMO.

The best jab in boxing history?

Larry Holmes

I agree with this, the most notable thing about their jabs IMO, was that they had so much poise with it, Hearns was a like a cobra the way he snaked out his jab and came straight back in an instant.
Larry had the same kinda poise, just not as much as Hearns IMO, but Larry made up for it by being able to change up his rhythm, use his legs when doing it.
I also felt Ali's jab was more predictable than Holmes, as Ali was more fluid, he would throw tipples and go the same way sometimes, which IMO, meant he could be timed at some point or another, but Holmes seemed to frequently change the rhythm of when he jabbed.

Ike Quartey had the most impressive jab that I've ever seen - he could mesmerize his opponents with it and just make a sparring session out of a fight based on that punch alone.
He reduced the Korean guy that he fought to nothing more than a punching bag and made a complete mess out of his face.

The most impressive offensive display of Hagler's career.I always thought he boxed beautiful the first time against Hamsho. But he never looked as sharp and as precise as he did against a tough, but overmatched Tony Sibson.Last edited by prinzemanspopa; 09-15-2010, 04:56 PM.
