      The 30s just like the 40s, 50s, 60s & 70s was not about a fighter protecting his unbeaten record like it is today, fighters could have several losses on their record yet still get a deserved title shot.

        Im surprised at how many legit superheavyweights existed in this particular era and how a guy like ABe SImon easily roughed up Joe Louis. Makes me rethink Lewis v Louis....
