Taking the side of history or the fighter from the earlier era does not absolve someone from being a troll. Some of the "Historians" on here are just as obnoxious as the NSB degenerates.
There was baiting and trolling on here long before the NSBers started making threads... both extremes need to be addressed.

How long until you are in office? Do you need some marketing strategies to help you run? Who's the competition? I'll find some dirt on them.

Vote 1 for JAB!!!!
This bloody past era vs modern era debate is just one reason and has been the major catalyst for something that has long been needed now I think: Obviously it goes without saying that it is, and should be, a huge part of the history section discussions. We are living in the modern era of boxing so it goes without saying that a huge part of our discussions will be based on this topic in comparison to the past era's, but the amount of extreme lunacy on both sides of the coin is just ridiculous at the moment. We can't even have a reasonable discussion on such a simple bloody subject without it turning into a raging NSB/Dome like idiot thread!
The history section is one place where that stuff shouldn't be tolerated and it certainly isn't wanted apart from by those who created and want to spread that kind of crap. We don't care or want to know who someone is a die hard fan (unless of course they are actually contributing stuff about them which is worthwhile to this place without being obnoxious and ignorant of the other aspects that are discussed here) of while refusing to even consider any possibility of there being someone else, or another part of important history, in boxing. That is where NSB comes in and it's where it should stay.
This is where we want to talk about the history of boxing and all its facets. It is, hopefully, a place where logic and the want of more knowledge about that very subject should take a front seat to the inane ramblings of someone wanting nothing more than to stamp their own illogical certainties that such and such would crush and destroy everyone who's ever lived or that history isn't important and shouldn't be a consideration to anything that's happening today in boxing. This is hopefully where people come wanting to learn and keep the history of boxing alive and well and finding out more about it rather than simply coming in here to try and stamp it out with more ramblings of modern superiority and history's insignificance. That's why it's the history section! Because that's what is being discussed and debated.
Well, that's what we look forward to being able to discuss once more at some point in the future.Last edited by BennyST; 09-07-2010, 05:34 AM.

You claimed that i have an agenda against Lennox Lewis & Vitali Klitschko which could not be further from the truth, i have on several occasions explained and pointed out how and why i come to my opinions of Lewis having paid to watch him fight live on several occasions... Yet that part of my posts is completely ignored and i am branded a "Hater" because i have dared to speak-out... Last week we had a guy claiming Joe Louis was nothing more than a `MIDGET`who would be crucified in the opening round by Vitali Klitschko, yet when i came to the defense of most likely the greatest heavyweight who ever lived, you yourself backed-up the other guy by claiming i have a personal agenda against Lennox Lewis so i am the last person who should be putting up a case against Vitali Klitschko.... i am all for threads like "Frazier vs Lewis" or Vitali vs Carnera" as they are excellent talking-shops which receive hundreds of responses from members, but its the Height & Weight issues that are annoying where Fighter A does not have a hope and would be blitzed in the opening round simply because he is 3ins shorter in height and weighed 20lbs lighter in his prime.. You have made very good points in your post and i agree that they need implemented in the Boxing History section for this section to survive.... peace!Last edited by sonnyboyx2; 09-07-2010, 06:50 AM.

You have got to get this right mate. I don't give a ****!!! You know what? You're missing the point. I don't really like Lewis, and I certainly don't like Vit Klit and I never claimed you had an 'agenda' against Klit.
What I found funny, more than anything, is how you rant at someone for being illogical (in my opinion) but then do the exact same thing yourself.
Wait!!!!!!
Before you start on about me being a Lewis hugger and how you were his greatest fan but then turned when he didn't face anyone and how he's a big fat pile of ****....get this ok? I do not care who it was about. Ok?
Whether it was The Fat ****ing Jamoc, Joe Louis, Ali, Pep, Robinson, Duran, Mayweather, Strickland.....I don't care who it was.
I was simply pointing out what I felt to be your hypocrisy in the matter.
I take it all back ok? Please just shut up about Lewis and stop talking to me about him anymore. I seriously couldn't give a ****ing **** how much you hate the guy. I just don't care. I know you love writing about him but it had nothing whatsoever to do with bloody Lewis!
Oh maaaaannnn...you don't give up do ya mate?
Edit: Sonny: The thing is, no matter if I dislike someone personally as a fighter, if I see someone making some absurd comment or post that doesn't make any sense, I will question it and ask about it. If you said "Ali would knock out Vit Klit in three rounds" I would say don't be ****ing ******. How do you possibly come up with that conclusion....It seems that that would make me a Klit hugger by your standards, but I hate the guy as a fighter. I'm just pointing out a ridiculous flaw in your logic and what I perceive to be something very wrong with the way you think. You know? If it was the opposite and someone psycho Lewis fan said "Lewis would knock Ali out in three rounds" I would say exactly the same thing....actually, no I wouldn't. I would just laugh to myself and forget about it because that would be too deluded to even bother with. Now please, just shut up about him.Last edited by BennyST; 09-07-2010, 08:47 AM.
