Margarito vs Hearns

Very few fighters could have KOed a prime Margarito.

but Hearns was one of them. TKO around the 4th or 5th round. Hearns was simply the kind of guy that had the ability to make very good fighters look like cannon fodder.

Margarito had/has a great, great chin, but no matter how good your chin is, you just can't walk straight at Hearns as open as Margarito is and not get fucked up. He would walk into punches and get stopped.

Hagler had one helluva chin and he had hagler hurt pretty bad IMO. Margaritos goin down the minute hearns jabs to the body, straight right to the jaw

Margarito doesnt have Haglers chin, and his defense or lack thereof makes him and easy target walking into to Hearns punches...and walking straight into Tommys punches will make it a quick and easy night.

Hearns KO by 2nd or 4th round.

I voted for margarito, reason is I think his pressure and power would be to much for hearns, don't get me wrong I know hearns had power and was a great boxer but I think prime margarito would fold prime hearns.

hearns beat a better version of margarito in luigi minchillo quite easily, that was by decision but i think he would knock margarito out.

This "better version of margarito" is not exactly a good example to use when predicting a fairly early knockout for Hearns.Minchillo took Hearns best shots for twelve rounds and was there right until the very end.



And no,Minchillo is not better than Margarito.

There's not too many guys I would say this about, but Margarito couldn't stand up to Hearns' power. If his defense was better, I'd give him a little shot, but he gets hit with like 45% of punches at least. Think about all the straight rights Hearns would land and I think that Margarito is out of there by the seventh.

Even with the style matchup, Hearns stands no chance.

Sorry, but you're completely wrong. Hearns wasn't just a good boxer with great power, he was a fantastic boxer who made his right hand nearly unavoidable. Margarito is not that hard a hitter, and would not touch Hearns nearly enough to stop him. If you look at the guys Hearns got stopped against, you will see his "weak chin" is very overstated.

A guy like Margarito could never stop Hearns.

I disagree my friend, I think this would be a massacre while it lasted. A slow, torturous, public execution lasting about 15 minutes. Hearns would dish out a frightful beating to Margarito.
