[FONT="Tahoma"]Vinny Pazienza HAS to be included on a list like this!

Anyone who has ever read about Gene Tunney's first fight with Harry Greb would also say he belongs on this list.

    Mathew Saad Muhammad
    Carmen Basilio

    I'll think of more.

One of the greatest examples that I can give is of Fernando Vargas in his fight with Felix "Tito" Trinidad. He was down twice in the first round, looked on the verge of defeat against a man regarded as the most ruthless finisher in the sport at that time, and yet,he got back up,didn't panic and boxed his way back into the fight, even taking firm control in the middle rounds.

He remained on close, even terms right until the very last round in which the ref showed mercy and ended the fight after the third brutal knockdown.Had he not stopped it,Vargas would have got right back on his feet and continued.

Danny "Little Red" Lopez was almost impossible to deter, regardless of how outmatched and outgunned as he may have seemed,he never stopped coming forward to land his punches. He could take as violent a beating as a professional prize fighter could endure and he'd still be there, pushing his opponent right until the very end.

Antonio Margarito is also another who comes to mind.Nobody would have blamed him for pulling out after being beaten so severely against Shane Mosley. He had absolutely no chance of even remaining competitive at that point.Yet,in front of the crowd who came to see him and he alone,he came right out for more and gave the crowd the decisive, spectacular finish that boxing fans love - even if it meant being on the end of it.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Jerry Quarry.
I mean if he had the oppurtunity to fight guys he would take it. The only fight where he wasn't so determined was Frazier 2 because of his lil bro getting ktfo by Bobby foster. And he always looked pissed when his fights got stopped on cuts and still put up good efforts when cut.

I'm still not so sure though. Thoughts anyone?
