This is a comparison of era's, not singular fighters. OVERALL todays fighters throw many less punches and have shown a propensity to gas within 12 rounds let alone 15. In fact half of the top 10 has proven this on more than one occasion. Wlad, Haye, Valuev, Peter and Arreola who all either came into top fights in conditions not able to sustain a 12 round distance while still throwing punches effectively or have been grossly overweight.

By the way, what top 10 fighter other than Wlad did Corrie sanders ever beat?

Uhh, how many punches a round do you think Louis threw? Also of course bigger guys would have less stamina than cruisers, but their punches hurt a lot more. I notice you dont mention guys like Chagaev or how about a guy like Adamek who is widely considered too small today to fight in the HW's but has great stamina and speed.

Adamek is considered too small today to be a threat to the Klitschko's yet he is bigger than Louis was in his prime and the same height with the same reach. Does he tire? only when he's trying to make LHW.

Don't know. But judging by film he threw far more than the overwhelming majority of todays heavies and could easily go 15 rounds. I notice you don't want to touch the subject of stamina issues amongst todays top fighters. That ok, I understand your hesitation.

Chagaev and Adamek are two guys who bolster my point that Louis would chop down the fighters in todays heavyweight division. Both have been successful in the top 10 and neither is half as skilled, hits half as hard or is nearly as fast as Louis was. Thanks for making my point!

I like adamek, but he ain't no Joe Louis. Both K bros are mechanical and would get chopped down like Simon, Carnera and bot Baer brothers. Im not saying they don't resent problems, but Louis would exploit every ***** in their armor.

No one ever said he did...what top 10 fighter did Big Joe beat? Answer that. I mean seriously, youre trolling hard, no one said Sanders ever beat top 10 fighters are the time, yet youre trolling about it.

Also, Adamek hasnt beaten a bigger guy. HIs test against Grant wound up with him almost getting buckled by a well past it never-was. Not a top 10 guy. Arreola's hands are ruined and it was a close fight with a guy 38 year old Vitali Klitschko stopped and mercilessly pummelled.

              .

What you said after I referred to Sanders as a journeyman (who knocked out Wlad) is that sander at 38-2 must have been the greatest journeyman ever.

Nope you never said Sanders ever beat a top 10 fighter, you implied it. So now you're admitting Wlad was knocked out by a journeyman...good.

Who is "Big Joe"? Please tell me you aren't talking about Louis?

Both of these guys showed they're competitive and neither come close to having the skill nor power of Joe Louis. Time for you to go trolling back in NSB, you're getting owned on the big boy board.

I'm not going to get into an argument in regards to how strong the division is.I believe that it's declined a great deal over the last four or five years, but Wlad's been aroud longer than that and he's fought virtually every heavyweight there is to fight.

You rate Joe Louis as the greatest heavyweight ever, yet I'm sure you wouldn't try to argue that he fought the level of opposition that Ali did, would you?

He's consistently fought those ranked within the top ten and dominated them with ease - it's the highest he can achieve and he does it on a regular basis.

Neither Sanders and Brewster were journeyman, either

Uhh...both are bigger than Joe Louis. Chagaev hasnt fought under 220 since his 2nd pro fight. Louis never fought over 220. THeres the differenence. Also Chagaev wasnt competitive against Wlad. Wlad punched him in the face over and over and was hit twice...the entire fight. It wasnt competitive. Adamek has beat an ancient Golata, an injured and fat out of shape Arreola, a past prime never was michael grant and Adamek has only lost once at a lower weight and it was from being weight drained. He used to have power now he doesnt and the punches significantly hurt him. How many guys under 200 did Louis fight?

Before their respective wins against Wlad what top 10 fighters were these guys beating? It is not even arguable that they were both shot down when they tried to step up. Im not saying either were talentless, but they certainly weren't considered risks or serious contenders at that time.

this is becoming redundant. None of your excuses hold water and when they are shot down you just come up with more ridiculous claims. Joe Louis over any of todays heavies who are sucking wind and looking for mommies nipple after the 5th round.
