If Foreman would have beat the count against Ali?

It was an Ali fight and an Ali thread , hence the ban.


When a fighter is down first the referee makes sure the other fighter goes to the neutral corner then he starts counting , so many other fighters who did not get a long count can be down for 12 seconds without the fight being stopped , but Foreman got a short count.

The referee picked up the count from the time keeper at ringside and started the count and waving his arm as he counted.Ali went to a neutral corner before the time keeper started the count.Foreman did not get a short count.Nice try though with your obcession with this fight,and Foreman getting KO'd!!

Foreman was actually down 14 seconds.Dundee and Freddie Pacheco(sp) timed it.Foreman "almost" beat the count of the referre,only his glove was left on the canvas when the count reached ten.He missed getting up by only 1 second.The question is....What would have happened if Foreman would have been able to continue? What do you think would have happened if Foreman would have been able to continue? I'm waiting for your answer?

If a fighter gets ludicrously overrated the way Louis , Liston , Ali , Dempsey , Tunney , Jack Johnson , Bob Fitzsimons and a few others became then one should be disrespectful when referring to their inflated faked legacies.

Foreman was toast and didn't really seem to have a plan B. Ali hit him with some good, clean shots, but I think George went down mostly from exhaustion, lost his balance and then landed hard. Will have to rewatch the ending again, because it looked to me like the count was quick and he barely beat it. Doesn't really matter either way because a minute wasn't enough and he wasn't getting good advice from his corner.

Under those foul circumstances ? probably down again , from exhaustion and heat combination reinforced by Ali's holding and hitting tactic , which I hardly blame. You know what is my problem regarding this fight.
