Yep footage of Gans vs Nelson exists, they actually ran out of film while filming it though lol so the last last 10 or so rounds weren't recorded I believe. There's some on youtube.

How did my guy go unmentioned? Gorilla Jones. In over 130 fights he's never been knocked down. And to add my friends he only went down once at that was to Freddie Steele. The monster ass puncher from the 30's.

Nice, don't know too much about Jones will have to look him up.

Kid Gavilan deserves a shout to, only knocked down twice in his career by Ike Williams and Carmen Basilio, faced some great punchers as well.

          Vitali Klitschko-best chin ever.

If you want a guy to take one punch and not go down...regardless of weight, or anything, youd pick Vitali.
As usual, you're wrong again. There is footage, and V's chin doesn't hold a candle to Chuvalo's.

I lean towards Chuvalo because he was never off his feet in spite of taking some HUGE shots from some hellacious punchers. I can respect arguments for LaMotta and others though. Just like looking at ko percentages, its all in the quality of opposition.

I know some of his fights were stoppages, but he's one hell of a hard head. But then I look at SRR and Lamotta 6 and I'm not so sure. But I do see where your coming from on chuvalos standpoint

Muhammad Ali has taken the biggest shots from the biggest punchers in the history of boxing. He has the greatest chin of all time.

While Ali's chin is unquestionable he also had the speed, skill and reflexes to see and roll with many of the hardest punchers he faced. Chuvalo never had that luxury. Jmo.
