Very low. While it helps him climb above some less skilled but far more accomplished guys (George Foreman for instance), he drops down even more when you raise up severely more skilled but far less accomplished guys, like Jimmy Young.

I don't think he'd be ***** without his Goliath size towering over everybody. So that's all that has to be said about his skills.

He's great because his size helps him beat smaller more skilled heavyweights like Chambers, and his decent skills help him beat big less skilled guys with a little less skill then him. He's decent though but thats about it. He's nothing special.

very low on the heavyweight champions list 25-30 with Primo Carnera being more skilled than both Vitali & Wlad.

I can't find my ****ing post where I average out Wlad's weight advantage over his last 10 opponents. It's around 11-12 pounds, adding in the 3,4,5,6,7 inch height advantage, great power, athleticism and speed and it becomes obvious what is helping him achieve what he is (natural talent and physical advantages).

I've seldom seen him actually time and counter or use any real skill in the ring. The most I've seen him time is when he's playing patty cake with southpaws.

Wlad depends a lot on his physical advantages. He has good skills, but it is easier to assume control fighting shorter, lighter guys than it is to control a bigger guy.

This is so hard to get a realistic idea of, because Wlad fights the way he does because of his physical advantages. Wlad may have plenty of pure boxing skills he has no reason to.

From what we've seen, Wlad is not among the best skillwise with ATG heavies.

Im glad you guys finally agree with me, size does matter. 45 of Ali's 61 fights he fought someone who weighed significantly less than him.

In fact the only guy who both weighed more and had at least an inch on Ali who Ali ever fought was Joe Bugner. Who Ali fought twice. The first time, a young 23 year old Bugner was blatantly robbed against Ali. The second time, in Malaysia where Bugner was treated like trash, again Ali couldnt finish him, a young Bugner won rounds, more rounds than he won against a couple club fighters who had beat him previously.

I know some will say, but Ali beat 6'6 Ernie terrll, but Ali weighed the same as Ernie.

So since we are all in agreement that size and height are why Wlad wins his fights, and that these trump skill. Its clear that while Wlad is the least skilled HW of all time, he would use his size and height to kill Ali in the ring.

Wlad is the least skilled HW of all time, but the greatest.

I agree completely. Much easier for Ali to use his 41 1/4 lbs weight advantage to control a guy like Bob Foster. Wow, glad you guys have all come around to my way of thinking.
