  • Fighters who were unbeatable in their prime.

Name fighters who when they were in their prime would never have lost to anyone in history.

I believe the Ali that fought Williams would have never lost.
    The Hagler who fought Hearns.
    etc.

I dont think any fighter is unbeatable, look how Jones was given fits by the Griffin, who wasnt a gifted fighter, but had a great fight plan

Williams was a shell of himself after losing a kidney (he was shot by a state trooper), and was practically living in squalor during the run up to that fight as well

Hagler was on the slide by then, he had one last great fight in him, which was the Mugabi fight. Hagler was pushed to the limit by Marcos Geraldo, so I wouldnt say he was ever unbeatable either

judge: Barbara Perez 75-76 | judge: Chuck Hassett 77-75 | judge: Terry Smith 76-75 ~
Griffin was up on one of the scorecards (so he must of been doing something right), I think he was level with Jones on Ledermans card and Jones struck him twice when he was down, which was out of frustration

At the end of the day Griffin won that fight, fair and square. The rematch is neither here nor there, Futch left Griffin after his first fight with Jones

As for Jones having a poor night, off course his going to say something like that, he still refuses to give Tarver credit for beating him- which says alot about Mr Jones's ego

No such thing as an "unbeatable" fighter. Even the best ATGs in their primes can be beaten by another ATG opponent making a phenominal effort.

There were none. Simply put. Most incredible looking in their prime though? Toughest to beat at their best?

                Robinson
                Pep
                RJJ
                Sweat Pea
                Duran
                Tyson
                Dempsey
                Ali
                Holmes
                Louis
                Hagler

Like Poet said no one is unbeatable, but for the sake of it here some names that haven't been mentioned.

                    Roberto Duran
                    Eder Jofre
