Why is it that people think that speed=skill?

Boxing fans do not even know what inside fighting is. There was a thread in NSB a few weeks ago (I think). It was a bout Pac-PBF, and what happens if they fought inside. The posts were ridiculous. I posted clips from Rosario-Chavez to explain. A FEW ****1NG TIMES. Some ppl still did not understand the difference between mid range and inside.

How can you expect morons like that to think that anything different than sharpshooting involves skill?
I remember that! That was actually a long ass time ago, but I was trying to find the thread just this week.

And there are definitely fast fighters who are more skilled than their slower counterparts. Is there anybody in the world more skilled than Floyd? Devon Alexander's pretty skilled and he is lightning fast. And Carl Froch is super slow and unskilled. But you can get guys like Sugar Shane and Zab Judah who lean totally on their natural abilities. And you'd have to be an idiot not to recognize the skill of Julio Cesar Chavez and Marco Antonio Barrera who definitely did not have blistering speed but were very, very skilled, inside and, in Barrera's case, out. Just saying that speed and skill don't really have much in the way of correlation - fast guys aren't necessarily more skilled and slow guys aren't necessarily more.
