Did Roy Jones Jr take steroids/enhancement drugs for his entire career?

First of all I would like to say that RJJ was one of my favorite fighters ever but I lost alot of respect for him when tested positive for steroids after his 2001 fight with Richard Hall. He was one of my favorite fighters and one of the greatest fighters ever, But we cannot ignore the fact that he cheated.

I know people are going to say "Well that was just one fight" but here's my theory on why I believe that isnt true. He was fighting Richard Hall, A good, tough but also very limited opponent. Why would you take steroids against a guy like that and not take them against Virgil Hill, One of the greatest Light Heavyweight's of all time? Or Bernard Hopkins, One of the greatest Middleweights of all time? Or James Toney, Who was regarded as the greatest fighter in the sport when Roy beat him? Jones pretty much looked the same in the Hall fight as he did in all of his other LHW fights. This leads me to believe that he took steroids in his other fights and on this one occassion he failed to get it out of his system quick enough.

And although what he took was Androstenedione and it was not banned by every organisation, Only the IBF. While this may be true it was still a steroid and he was caught with it in his system. Alot of boxers use supplements but taking steroids is just cheating, And it's a shame that he wasnt punished for what he did. He was not stripped or fined after the positive test. I think situations like this and the Margarito situation are bad for the sport because it's basically saying you can cheat and get away with it.

Obviously people are going to disagree with me but I want everyones opinion. Do you think Jones cheated for his whole career? If you disagree then please explain why, I'm anxious to know what people think about this.

    Jones against Hall

    Jones against Tarver

    There's hardly any difference.

I doubt he took him for the majority of his career, but I would assume he took them for more important fights than just Richard Hall.

I think this because he looked huge his whole career, He didnt look much bigger against Hall than in any other fights. Either way, Even the biggest Jones fan would find it very hard to explain why you would take steroids against Richard Hall and not against guys like Virgil Hill, James Toney and B-Hop.

Roy took ripped fuel which only cuts your body up faster. It doesnt enhance your abilities. Ripped fuel was popular at local GNC stores back in the 90s.

Roy took more than "Ripped Fuel" for his fight against Hall, that is a fact.

I dont think he took steroids during his whole career, but I do believe he took them for a number of his fights at lhw.

Also steroid testing didnt start in boxing until 2002, the state of Indiana were way ahead of the curve testing that early, which is why Jones got caught.

What he took was a steroid hormone. This would have increased his performence no doubt. Steroids don't make you fitter or more agile but they do make you alot stronger.
