Leonard could beat him by points cause he was so smart and Duran could KO him because just like Leonard said : "EVERY punch by Duran felt like bricks !" That would make Mayweather run and then get caught by a brick...

I think what that fight would come down to is if Hearns could control the pace, If he could then he takes it. But it's hard to control a fight against an opponent like Mayweather. So hard to hit and so accurate with his punches.

I give Duran the best chance because he was so smart and he knew every trick in the book. He knew how to get you out of your game and make you fight his fight. I give Whitaker the next best chance because of his intelligence and defence. If anyone could make Floyd look bad it would be someone like Whitaker.
I think most could beat him (Tito would have the hardest time and probably get outslicked) but the BEST chance is definitely Hearns. At Welter, he's faster, about five-six inches taller and with an absurd reach advantage (and Floyd has nothing to scare him off); he'd outbox Floyd and eventually Tommy would brutalize him. Seriously...he doubles the jab and Floyd is never going to reach him. Not even a competitive fight. If Tommy were around at Welter today, Floyd and Pac would be the biggest Jr. Welter fight in the world (i.e. they wouldn't have bothered moving up).

          It's 100%. Hearns-Mayweather is no contest.

i was just considering if the fight was outside and a bird crapped on the mat and hearns slipped on the poo and knocked himself out right while floyd pot shot his belly.

Hearns, Leonard and Duran have the best chances of beating Floyd.

Trinidad would get embarassed by Floyd, providing he doesn't find something big that knocks Floyd out. Whitaker and Chavez would be tough fights too, but I see Hearns, Duran and Leonard giving Floyd more trouble than those two.

Hearns, but this topic has been done to death both here and on NSB.

Why make the poll so we only could pick one? What if several of them could beat Mayweather, what if we think all of them could?

Leonard would have easily beat Floyd. He has everyone Floyd has and more. Floyds defense might be just a little bit better, but that's it.
