Which of these Hall of Fame boxers would have the best chance to beat Mayweather?

Which of these guys would have the best chance to beat Floyd?

I would go with Duran because he was tough as hell, very smart and knew every trick in the book. I'm not sure whether he would beat him but I know that if Floyd did beat him in his prime, It would have been a hard fight. Simular to the Castillo fights.

What do you think? Who has the best chance and why?

    Thomas Hearns!

The nastiest style matchup for Floyd ever. No hope of Tommy gassing over 15 rounds either with the current 12 round championship distance.

I can see where your coming from, Hearns was huge for a welterweight and he was excellent at keeping you at his range. But i'm still not sure, Hearns never showed a weak chin at welterweight but he was knocked out in 4 of his 5 losses. I think what that fight would come down to is if Hearns could control the pace, If he could then he takes it. But it's hard to control a fight against an opponent like Mayweather. So hard to hit and so accurate with his punches.

I give Duran the best chance because he was so smart and he knew every trick in the book. He knew how to get you out of your game and make you fight his fight. I give Whitaker the next best chance because of his intelligence and defence. If anyone could make Floyd look bad it would be someone like Whitaker.

I think Leonard, whitaker, and chavez, all beat mayweather and i wouldn't be suprised if tito knock him out with that nasty left.

IMO hearns have the best chance to beat PBF.

            Everybody on this list........

I think that pretty much everybody on this list beats him mabe except for CHAVEZ. And that's a BIG MABE. CHAVEZ was a vicious body puncher and MAYWEATHER gives you his body so that would have been a toss up fight. TRINIDAD, WHITAKER, LEONARD, DURAN, and HEARNS beats him. He's not in there league. There is no reason for me to believe he could handle the type of pressure and toughness it would take to defeat these LEGENDS. He's a HALL OF FAMER but no LEGEND.

              Good post.......

I agree with most of this post except for the DURAN fight. I think that DURAN was a better pressure fighter than CHAVEZ and that would have been a problem for MAYWEATHER. One of MAYWEATHER'S weaknesses is that he gives you his body. BIG mistake against both of these guys! He doesn't have the best legs either. He doesn't move enough in my opinion. That's because he can't. He relies on reflexes to avoid punches but against these great warriors, he would have to try and move to even win a decision. DURAN would pound him MAN! LoL. As for CHAVEZ, this is a toss up fight for the smae reasons I named about DURAN but CHAVEZ would make him throw more punches and mabe he could win a decision against FLOYD? I can't just say FLOYD would win. BASED ON WHAT????? He's not in the same league as WHITAKER so a fight with CHAVEZ would look totally different with CHAVEZ being in it the whole way.

Hearns then Leonard. Hearns is an extremely difficult match up for anybody at 147.

Hearns, i have seen few Welterweights punch has fearsome as his jab-straight right-left hook combo. When those Connect Pretty Boy Is goin down. Hearns Also punched to the body in the films i've seen so that would take Mayweathers gas out a little and crumple his defense in the later rounds.

Leonard would be too fast and Whitaker would have an easy but boring time counterpointing him. I think Duran has the strength to bulldoze him as the fight goes on. I havent seen film for the rest.
