SI.com: Has Holyfield's name come up before?

Llosa/Wertheim: He has never tested positive. However Dr. Margaret Goodman, chairman of the medical advisory board of Nevada Athletic Commission, says that as early as 1994, when Holyfield fought Michael Moorer and suffered heart problems, the medical arm of the Commission questioned Holyfield about possible HGH use. "There were questions [because] the abnormalities Evander had with his heart were findings that could have been consistent with growth hormone use. The problem was there was no test and Evander denied any use of growth hormone."

I remember Holyfield looked gigantic during his fights with Tyson

You dont know what you are talking about

There was no rematch clause in the original contract and Buster chose to fight his no 1 contender which was Holyfield. There was a interview on youtube with tyson asking for another shot, but Douglas said it was up to his people to decide whose next

Buster Douglas was basically a contender at that point after coming back from a 6 year retirement

He was a shot fighter by then, also he would of fought him if Douglas had gotten past Savarese

Tyson had a successful career, but he never lived up to his full potential
Lennox really delivered on his Vitali rematch, right?
Lennox actually delivered - is laughable... when did Lennox Lewis ever deliver?... Lewis avoided Tyson 96, Bowe 93 & 95, Holyfield 94, Hide 94/95, Witherspoon 94-96, Sanders 95-97, Ruiz 97-03, Byrd, Foreman 93-96, Holmes 93-95, Moorer, Jones Jr. 02, Vitali rematch.. Lennox Lewis was STRIPPED of every championship belt, yet JoeyZagz cannot accept that as the case, he ignores and dismisses it as tho it never happened yet has the gall to slate the great Mike Tyson

Fools like JoeyZagz have found Holyfield "Guilty by Association" there is not a single shred of evidence to prove Holyfield guilty.. i have heard rumours for years during the 90s that Lennox Lewis was using juice infact Lewis gained over 40lbs in weight during the 90s.

To be fair no one wanted anything to do with Witherspoon who looked amazing koing Jorge Luis Gonzalez. Holmes was high risk/low reward. Also no one wanted anything to do with Ike after he beat Tua. Stylistically Byrd is a terrible match up for him, especially with his conditioning being so questionable, during the last part of his career.

The only fighters who test positive are fighters who make mistakes. If you know what you are doing then you should always test negative, because you have given you body enough time to cycle the ped of choice out of your system

On August 29, 2006, federal Drug Enforcement Agency officials in Alabama raided a compounding pharmacy (a pharmacy that makes its own drugs generically) called Applied Pharmacy Services. Among the documents seized were records stating that, in June 2004, a patient named “Evan Fields” picked up three vials of testosterone and related injection supplies from a doctor in Columbus, Georgia. That same month, Fields received five vials of Saizen (a human growth hormone). In September 2004, according to the documents, Fields underwent treatment for hypogonadism (a condition that results when the sex glands produce little or no hormones). The date of birth, home address, and telephone number listed for Evan Fields in Applied Pharmacy’s records were identical to those of Evander Holyfield.

When these facts were made public, Holyfield issued a statement that read in part, “I have never taken an illegal or banned performance enhancing drug of any kind. The use of such substances runs counter to everything I believe about sports and my place in the athletic world.”

The New York Times reported in 1995 that, after Holyfield lost his heavyweight championship to Michael Moorer, Evander was diagnosed as having a non-compliant left ventricle (one of four chambers in the human heart), which caused a dangerous build-up of fluids. That diagnosis, according to the Times, was confirmed by two sets of tests, the second round being conducted at Emory University in Atlanta.

Holyfield was tested a number of times for steroids in Nevada. The tests all came back negative. He was not tested by the Nevada commission for human growth hormone or EPO.

I think Holyfield should be first, he beat the likes of:
                      James Buster Douglas
                      George Foreman (past prime)
                      Larry Holmes (past prime)
                      Rid**** Bowe (prime)
                      Ray Mercer
Mike Tyson I (past prime, but still a good fighter)
                      Mike Tyson II
