The most recent I can think of...

Mayweather vs Margarito & Cotto in 07-08

      Felix Trinidad vs Shane Mosley

And why the hell did Marquez never fight Morales or Barrera?

Joe Calzaghe vs RJJ & B-Hop in their primes

Rid**** Bowe vs Lennox Lewis definitely

I always for some reason wanted to see Winky vs Mayorga too.

      Winky vs Oscar too.

My knowledge of both Jackson and Sullivan are standard. In other words Im not well versed with either. How do you think a fight between the two would have played out?

On another note.......I came across an article about 8 or 9 years ago titled something like "the friendship that hate built". It was about Jack Johnson and John L. Sullivan. Going from memory it was about Sullivan being hired by some paper to cover the Johnson-Jeffries fight and he was supposed to interview each before the fight. Sullivan openly despised Johnson and refused to talk with him. An arrangement was made where the two would sit down and would pass notes to ask and answer questions. From what I recall Sullivan wrote something derogatory and Johnson sent his own insulting note right back. This soon became a game of on ups man ship and both men were soon laughing and joking with one another and ended up developing a mutual respect and friendship. I haven't been able to find that piece in a long, long time and was just wondering if you or anyone else had heard this story before.

Marquez fought Barrera. Albeit when he was past prime. Nevertheless he did fight him.

Roy Jones vs. James Toney (both when Toney was in shape at 168 and at HW)
Lennox Lewis vs. Rid**** Bowe after Bowe's 2nd and 3rd fight with Holyfield
(I can excuse Bowe giving Holyfield a rematch instead of fighting Lewis)
George Foreman vs. Larry Holmes (both in 1977-8 and in the late 80's early 90's)
              Vitali Klitschko vs. Wladimir Klitschko
              David Tua vs. Mike Tyson
David Tua vs. Oliver McCall (cruel for the fighters , good for the audience)
              Roy Jones vs. Chris Eubanks
              Joe Frazier vs. Earnie Shavers
              Orlin Norris vs. Chris Byrd
James Toney vs. Antonio Tarver (@190 or 200 , after Tarver's second win over Roy Jones)

Hopkins would have just turned it into a buttfest , no fight involving Hopkins is good for watching.

I think it's interesting watching him do his dirt in the ring. He turns his man where the ref's on his left side, then he'll do something illegal from the right side of his body, where the ref cannot see it. I personally prefer watching Bernard fight instead of a clinch meister, like Ward.

I bet Ward learned his clinching from Hopkins
