ok but did he get knocked out?

Anyway he recovered after the knock-down. Glass chins don't have the ability to recover.

And he was crazy enough to face Foreman 'twice' and repeatedly get up after being knocked down what? Six times. The man always got up!!!! Some have been questioning Frazier's lack of facing big punchers, but tell me another fighter who fought prime Foreman twice! I dont remember Ken Norton jumping up and down for a second match, sorry beating.

In the first Foreman fight Frazier was hit and dropped by savage uppercuts and even one full blooded shot to the back of the head!! Did he moan or ***** to the ref or take five minutes off? No! The man got ready for the next fusilade of punishment.

He was knocked down repeatedly, but its arguable as to whether he was ever dazed beyond his senses or was falling all over the ring. If anyone has boxed/sparred and has suffered knockdowns in quick succession, believe me.......it really exhausts you to get up, you get a big adrenaline rush which makes your legs feel shaky! Six times is a testiment to Joe's chin and recuperative powers. If Frazier was a defensive boxer in the manner of an Ali, Holmes or Young he may have survived by moving, circling, tying up. But the man was a face first warrior.

Could other big punchers have stopped Frazier in the manner of Foreman? Possibly! But its much less likely, lets face it, Foreman was a bit of a one-off!

Lyle and Shavers hit hard, but neither had the sort of chin that could take Frazier's repeated left hooks.
Many boxing fans claim Muhammad Ali could not punch yet IMO he could hit hard enough to KO any fighter, Ali is the only fighter to KO Foreman & Bonavena and punched hard enough to stop Lyle, London, Cooper, Folley, Williams and many more yet he hit Joe Frazier with over 4000+ punches without knocking him out..Ali said,"no other fighter except Frazier could have taken those punches"

if that fight were today,it wouldve been stopped.he was literally walking backwards."frazier doesnt know where he is,he doesnt know where he is" was the commentary.the ref had to turn joe around.dundee was screaming stop the fight

roy jones was only knocked truly out by glenn johnson, his chin is called glass.zab judah has never been k.od unconscious his chin is called glass.cotto has never been ko'd,his chin is called glass.i could go on and on.fact is,frazier didnt fight lyle or shavers who are arguably the other 2 big punchers of that era.foreman was a manimal but he didnt beat everybody inside of 2 rounds like he did frazier.

Lets once and for all lay to rest the Oscar Bonevena fight.

Joe Frazier only had 10 pro fights, and was only fighting pro for about one year.

Yet he still won the fight and got up fighting after both knockdowns.

Frazier also clearly beat Bonevena in the rematch.

George Formen was probably the hardest punching Heavyweight Champion of all-time.He was 40-0-with 37 KO's going into the fight with Muhammad Ali,with most KO's in the first 2 rounds!!

Smokin' Joe Frazier had a good chin, and proved it again and again. It is absurd to imply he had a glass jaw.

You'd have to be on crack to call that chin glass.

Do you know anything about boxing at all? Sure Frazier got poleaxed against Foreman, but Foreman is also one of the heaviest hitters in hw history, all the other fighters he fought, he got hit clean ALOT, it was just his style of boxing, similar to Marcianos style. All the good punchers he faced he could take it, all the murderous punchers he couldn't. Idk even know why I'm responding to you anyway.
