The DLH ATG thread got me thinking.

Oscar won a world title after 1 year 3 months and 12 days as a pro.
Floyd Mayweather Jr, 1 year 11 months and 23 days.
Leon Spinks, 1 year and 1 month.
Mike Tyson, 1 year 8 months and 16 days.

The only people I can think of who when from pro debut to world title in less than 2 years. Is there anyone else?

Jeff Fenech: Six Months

Saensak Muangsurin: Eight Months

Michael Moorer: Eight months

Veerhapol Shaprom: Nine months

Muangchai Kittikasem: Eleven months



Edit: Ahh, I should read the replies before posting. Well, some others that were quick, but not as quick as the above, are Davey Moore in 15 months. Sot Chitalada in about 18 months.

Saensak Muangsurin 8 months after his pro debut. Jeff Fenech won a title 6 months after his pro debut.

Yeah, you beat me to it,... by months........ Yes I can't think of a more meteoric rise than Fenech,.... first world title,...... 6 fights,... lol...., Fenech is also the quickest to win 2 titles and the fastest to win 3 titles.......... I remember the Hall of Fame people talking about it,,, ....... Jeff Fenech just added another title,..... "Champion of this thread"/
