Prime for prime, who would have won between Salvador Sanchez and Erik Morales if they fought at the Featherweight Division?
    Thanks.

This is an extremely difficult fight to call.

I would give Salvador 6 out of 10 fights.

His chin and stamina were great and he finished as good as anybody in history. Before he knocked Gomez out of the ropes he had taken a lot of Gomez' shots in an all out war.

In Morales' prime I see him putting up the same kind of fight and it's just difficult to call as I think Morales is a better boxer than Gomez was.

Sanchez, Morales would get tagged and try to brawl as always, which wouldn't work.

Morales was also 5'8 with a 72 reach, packed more of a wallop at FW than Gomez did imo.

I think Sanchez was better at picking his shots though, Morales was very reckless himself at times.

This is a great matchup. There is no easy winner to pick.

It's like watching Barrera and Morales throw down every few years. Always going to be a great fight, and you haven't a clue who's going to win.

In his prime Morales!!! Erik had pop in his punches and boxing skills. He turned to a brawler after his prime. Sal had skills but no power, couldn't KO Lopez who always got knocked around. And beat Nelson in the 15th cause Nelson faded and had never gone past 10 rounds.. I know what your going to claim. He beat and KO'D GOMEZ!!! Gomez came up in weight to challenge Sal. And after getting floored in the 1st round, came back to win several rounds before being stopped. Morales in his prime would beat Sanchez!!!!

I think Sanchez would've been able to outbox Morales, might be really close on the cards in a 12 round fight though because Sanchez took a few rounds to get going and Morales could take advantage of that. Sanchez by close decision in a 12 rounder, a clearer decision in a 15 rounder.
